Letter from Secretary General

Ataberk TOKATLI

Dear Participants of FALMUN’26,

Before I introduce myself, I would like to extend my warmest welcome to all of you. This letter is not just a message from a MUN Secretariat, but also the beginning of a long and exciting journey that lies ahead of you. A journey where politics, intense debates, challenges, and unforgettable moments come together within the committee rooms.

I am Ataberk Tokatlı, a 4th year student at Fatih Anatolian High School. For me, MUN is not only a place where I improve myself and push the limits of my thinking, but also a matter of dedication and promise. I strongly believe that participating in MUN is not about earning a title before one's name, but about creating meaningful experiences and memories with the people who share this path together.

I would like to thank everyone who has walked this journey with me. First and foremost, I would like to thank the person responsible for the foundation of FALMUN’26, Elif Albakır, and everyone who contributed to shaping who I am today.

I would also like to extend my gratitude to our esteemed Under Secretary-General, Elif Aynacioğlu, who has been more than a colleague to me. Together we worked through many challenges and difficulties in order to create such a committee.

Last but not least, I would like to thank my dear friends Rana Korkmaz, Ada Gazel, Anas, İpek, Çınar, and Ege, all of whom are incredibly valuable to me and supported me throughout this entire process.

If you have any questions regarding the study guide or the committee, please feel free to contact me via email.

Best regards,
Ataberk Tokatlı

Letter from Deputy Director General

Teslime Rana KORKMAZ

Most Esteemed Participants of FALMUN’26,

It is a true honour to welcome you all as the Deputy Director General of this conference. To be honest, being part of this organization has been much more than just a role for me; it has been a deeply transformative journey. Over the past few months, I have had the privilege of witnessing the raw dedication and tireless passion that every single member of our team has poured into making this vision a reality. FALMUN’26 represents far more than a simple gathering for us. It is the culmination of countless late night collaborations, shared ambitions, and a collective dream. Seeing it finally come to life and welcoming delegates who are ready to tackle global issues with such curiosity and resolve is what makes me incredibly proud of what we have achieved together. First and foremost, I must extend my deepest thanks to our Director General, Elif Albakır. She is not only an exceptional leader but also one of my closest friends. Navigating this complex process alongside her has been a highlight of my experience. Her patience, determination, and vision have been the heartbeat of this organization, and I am profoundly grateful for both her leadership and her unwavering friendship. I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to our Secretary General, Ataberk Tokatlı. His guidance and commitment have been the steady hand that ensured the academic success and integrity of FALMUN’26. Furthermore, we owe a great debt of gratitude to our school principal, Tuncay Türker, and our entire administrative team. Their support provided us with the necessary foundation to bring such an ambitious project to our school community. We are also incredibly grateful to Ostim Technical University for hosting us. Not only did they provide a professional stage for our conference, but they also supported us at every turn, resolving every challenge we faced with great kindness and efficiency. My heartfelt thanks also go to our English teachers, who constantly push us to think critically and engage with the world beyond our classrooms. Among them, I must give a special mention to Gülçin Kireçcioğlu. She was the one who first introduced me to the world of Model United Nations. Without her initial encouragement and mentorship, I might never have discovered how inspiring and life-changing the MUN experience could be. I am also immensely proud of our Heads and the entire organizing team:Defnenaz, İpek,Güneş, Mehmet, Uras Ahmet,Ali Arda,Nil,Onur and many others. Their hard work behind the scenes is the true engine of this conference. FALMUN’26 is a space for diplomacy, but more importantly, it is a space for human connection. Over the next few days, you will represent nations, but you will also learn the art of listening and the power of collaboration. I encourage you to dive in headfirst: read your study guides, research with purpose, but also keep your minds open to new perspectives. Every voice here matters. I wish you an inspiring conference filled with sharp debates, lasting friendships, and unforgettable experiences. I look forward to seeing the innovative solutions you will bring to the table.

Best Regards,
Teslime Rana KORKMAZ
